Hurricane Ike struck the coast of Texas in September of 2008. It wrecked havoc upon communities and destroyed homes, knocked out power, and devastated the coastal marinas. Knight's Marine wasn't spared. The aftermath of the hurricane and storm surge left our customers' vessels washed ashore on land, roads, and even people's back porch. What could have been defeat became a defining moment.
Massive cranes from California were rented and shipped to Texas to lift multi-million dollar yachts, sailboats, and other craft onto trailers and into the water. Unique vessel recovery operations were underway for weeks. Many were recoverd and repairs were made. What many customers thought was a project too far gone was an opportunity for Knight's Marine to rise to the challenge... and so we did.
Knight’s Marine built a reputation for performance when it mattered most — rising from disaster, recovering the unrecoverable, and restoring what others thought was lost.
